2021 CHAT Summer Camp
6CHAT Summer Camp is designed to enrich the lives of our youth through opportunity, education and activities. This camp is designed to continue to engage our youth throughout the summer with a reading program, sports activities, recreational opportunities, art and field trips. This camp is not licensed by the State of Texas; however, we do follow Standards of Care.

Camp Fees
Camp will run from 6/7/2021 thru 8/6/2021. Camp is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Before and After Care is available from 7-8 am and 5-6 pm. The weekly camp fee is $70.00. Before and After care fee is $25. Camp is for kids Ages 6 -13 years old. We have cut the fees this year to accommodate the financial strain the pandemic has caused on families.
Camper Ratio and Room Request
We are accepting a maximum enrollment of 50 campers. There will be a 1:10 Camp Counselor to Camper ratio to ensure that we are able to keep the campers socially distanced and safe.
Camper Information
We can’t mandate, but for the safety of all, we strongly encourage campers to wear a mask. The use of the water fountain will be limited. Campers will need to bring a water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day. Campers will have designated/assigned areas to place their personal belongings. We ask that Campers bring no more that (2) personal items. Personal items are limited to Jackets, wallets, purses lunch bags. There will be no electrical gadgets/phones allowed. CHAT nor the Rec Center will be responsible for any items misplaced and or stolen.
Camp Staff Information
All Staff are First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. They have all passed drug test and background test. All Staff are trained on CDC COVID Safety requirements. AM Supervisor must check the temperature and complete the COVID-19 questionnaire for each staff and volunteer that enters the building. Staff will be equipped with walkie talkies for communication, first aid kits, hand sanitizer, mask (if needed) and cleaning solution. Each Camp Counselor will be paired with a Junior Camp Counselor/Volunteer for assistance.
Drop off / Procedures
AM Camp Staff will perform a temperature check and complete the COVID-19 questionnaire for each person entering the building. Campers will come into the building to immediately wash their hands. Campers are then escorted to their age specific room.
Breakfast/Lunch
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Campers must provide am/pm snack. Vending Machines can only be accessed by Camp Staff/Volunteers. Campers are able to request items from the vending machine through Camp Staff/Volunteers. This will limit cross-contamination.
Sanitization Procedures
All rooms are sanitized daily before the start and at the closing of camp. Campers areas are wiped down before and after each meal/snack. Camp Management Staff will have a rotating schedule to keep the bathrooms sanitized. All Rec Equipment will be sanitized by Camp Staff after each use.
